Ouch!

We are back from the lake & I've got a sunburn to prove it! OWWWIEEE!

Grandma, Eric, the kids & I headed over to the lake yesterday morning & got back today. Had a nice time. There was a little storm last night that kept me awake. I finally got to sleep about 1 & Zachary woke at 5...so I got a few hours of sleep. I should sleep good tonight....if the burn doesn't bother me too much!!

Yesterday we cleaned out the shed. The boys took everything out & after that I swept it out & made a garbage pile. Got rid of a few big things. A big pole lamp, a sail, rug, patio umbrella & stand, and a bunch of little stuff. Now you can actually walk in there & find what you need! Here's a before picture. There were two windows in there too & when the garbage man came today I asked him if I could throw them in as well & he said "be my guest". So I got rid of those as well. Why they kept them in the first place...who knows!



While we cleaned that out, Grandma & Lexi wiped down the trailer. They really did a good job & got it clean! Thanks Grandma & Lexi!



Today as the little ones were napping, I took the boys & Lexi out on the paddle boat & they brought a tube with to float on. We went the wrong direction & drifted out quite a ways & I REALLY had to paddle hard to get us back to the dock!! My legs were hurting!! Later, they talked me into taking them out again...so this time we went the opposite direction & it worked out much better. I think this is when I got the sunburn. I told them we better start heading in cause I was really feeling warm!





I don't know if I could go by myself with the kids. It REALLY helped having my nanny with....AKA Grandma!! I could at least do stuff with the older kids as she watched the two little ones. And Zander just LOVED having Grandma around. He loves his grandma!! Thanks so much for coming with Mom!



We did alot of walking around the resort & I counted all the trailers....I was guessing around 45...but there are 67 there. I was rather surprised! There were only like 3 or 4 other people there so it was really nice & quiet. Nice to be there when no one else is around. And it's nice to be there when there are people around too. Goes both ways! Nice to have it quiet yet nice to have others to talk/visit with. I actually got to see my cousin Scott (who lives in Colorado). He is home visiting his dad & was at the lake yesterday & today. Got to see his little boy Dawson...who is 6. Uncle Jerry took Nick & Eric out on his new boat last night with Scott & Dawson. They did some fishing but didn't really catch anything.

I told Grandma we can do this again in 3 weeks when Phil's on midnights again. Maybe next time we'll try two nights. Of course the house was all quiet for his daytime sleeping & he didn't sleep very well he said. I may as well be around with the kids making all kinds of noise then right?!!
